The Game Of Baccarat

Baccarat is a casino game and a gambling game, some say they game was introduced into France. The game is similar to Faro and to Basset. There are three types of games of baccarat: Railway, Table Aux and the American Baccarat. Baccarat is actually a simple game, with only 3 possible results: 'Player', 'Banker' and 'Tie'. The term of 'Player' doesn't refer to the customer and the term 'Banker' doesn't refer to the casino or the house that the game is being played at. They are just game options that the player can bet on.

American Baccarat (Punto Banco)

In the USA, Canada and Australia, a variation of the baccarat game is played at casinos all of the time, Punters may bet on either of player or the banker, which are only a way to get familiar with the hands that the player got.

The cards are dealt one to the player first and one to the banker, player than banker again. Each of the players has two cards. Both cards in each of the player and the banker are added together and the croupier announces the total. (i.e. 5 to player, 3 to banker), from this game position the 'tableau' or the table play is than used to determine if there other cards that needed to be drawn. A maximum of three cards can be drawn for each hand in order to achieve a winning hand.

Game Play

• Player with initial total of: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 draw another card.
• Player with initial total of: 6 or 7 stands and draws no further card.
• Player with initial total of: 8 or 9 this is a natural and neither the Player nor the Banker draws more cards.
• Banker with initial total of: 0, 1 or 2 draw another card.
• Banker with initial total of: 3 draw another card when the Player's third card is not an 8.
• Banker with initial total of: 4 draw another card when the Player's third card is one of those numbers: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7.
• Banker with initial total of: 5 draw another card when the Player's third card numbers is a 4, 5, 6, or 7.
• Banker with initial total of: 6, the 'Banker' draws another card when the Player's third card is a 6 or 7.
• Banker with initial total of: 7 stand and draw no further cards.
• Banker with initial total of: 8 or 9 this is a natural and none of them draws further cards.
• Banker with initial total of: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 and the player has an initial total of six or seven and stand, the Banker than draw another card.

The Banker must stand on number six when the Player has a six or seven on the initial deal. The croupier will deal the cards according to the above list, and than announce the winning hand, either a player, or a banker. Losing bets will be collected by the croupier and the winning bets will be paid according to the casino or the house (will a house commission – 'baccarat commission').

If the game was a tie, the croupier will announce "tie bets win". All ties than paid with 8:1 and the croupier don't touch the bets of either the player or the banker. Traditional Punto Baccarat is played at Oval table, which is the croupier and the other players play at, and two dealers who collect the bets and pay the payouts. In some casinos, Baccarat is played in special rooms, to provide security and fraud tricks. The game is played by the highest players and the high gamblers who place bets of thousands of dollars on a single hand.
