Google Android tricks to change the online marketing
In the world of internet, social communications, marketing and fast access data, the mobile phones grew up with millions and millions of them around the globe. But they all shared one thing in common, no matter which device you used throughout the years, they always had to have a strong reliable simple or sophisticated operating system at that time.
Nokia had its share with the Symbian Operating system, and dominated the world of mobile devices, giving us users the power to communicate, share, enjoy and explore the capabilities of their relative small operating system. For the past years that's what we all had to use (the most marketed phones had the Symbian OS) and we got used to its flaws and limited capabilities.
Than came Apple, and "Slapped" everyone in the face with its new revelation: The iPhone (And now the iPhone 3G). Giving users a whole new world id choices and opportunities like never seen before (By common user). The power to use full internet at the palm of your hands with Safari, listen to thousands of songs with the inbuilt iPod, take pictures and many more choices. But that all changed since Apple decided to release the so anticipated SDK and finally give programmers a full access to the iPhone's built in OSX features (Unlined hacked frameworks using tool-chains). With the iPhone, people have changed the way they use mobile devices, wherever it was checking mails, sending fast SMS, gamble online, read real time news, play games, check their favorite web sites, upload pictures and communicate with people using chat programs and many more.
The world of marketing for any business have increased, whether you aim your marketing to the world of online gambling industry and casinos, or market products of any kind, market your online Blog or sale tickets, one thing for sure, you can do it now using the power of the iPhone's built in data receivers (Wifi / Edge / 3G).
Now, it seems Google have though of the idea of how the world of marketing is going to be in the future, we all know that, that's Google's main agenda. And yes, a lot of money is at stake here have no doubt. So they came up with the idea of: Accessibility, Fastness, Reliability and User Interaction. All of those points lead to one thing: Google Android. What is it? We know it's an open source Operation System based on Linux core with an SDK. Ok, so Apple already has done that, using OSX and their SDK, so far no change. Google claims to use fast 2D and 3D capabilities of the OpenGL library, Ok, Apple have it too, we've seen 2D/3D games already built and operational. So what is it going to be? Where Apple and Google are heading to?
So how really android is going to change the world of marketing, how will it change the world of internet? Will new "cool" applications will really make anymore difference now that the iPhone has already done it? Is Google Maps the only real tool that Google is basing their entire strategy on? From the videos that Google has put out to the web, we all seen that Google is trying to push the entire Google Maps tool, whether its Satellite view, street view or hybrid view, or finding pizza and Starbuck stores.
The Google Android might be free, because Linux is free, and OpenGL is free, but does it mean that marketing is free? No, its all comes down to money in the end, and Google sure does want to see the cut from it, if it's from Google Ads that will float around in your Android task bar, or Google Maps pins that will fill up the entire screen. Google sure think it can change the way we look at their OS and reevaluate the way we use our mobile devices, because the future is no more belongs to simple phone calls, but money eating marketing tools.
