After The Bill Voted out poker players tries to fight back
It's been few days since the HR5767 has been declined in a vocal voting, and poker players don't know why still they can't get it to pass on. "It's frustrating and hurts my freedom" we keep hearing. What are the new ways that online poker players need to face in order to get it voted?
Last week we reported to you on how Poker players are anxious to get the hr5767 bill to pass on, on the house voting. The week has passed and finally the bill got it's time at hand and got voted with a vocal vote. The bill was declined as many who oppose the bill shouted "No", and sent the bill down the road.
After the bill was voted off, the hearing was continued with giving a stage to Rep. Spencer Bachus, who if you don't familiar with him is strongly believe in making online gambling banned in any way possible. The housing gave Rep. Spencer a stage to preach his ideology to the rest of the house members by giving them examples and metaphors on how online gambling is like drugs and weapons, hurting the society in all levels.
As a result of the entire committee, online gambling players (Mostly poker players) have had their rage over the internet, calling Spencer's words as lies and a misleading information that went over to the house voters without any defense in return. Poker players and related associations (Such as the PPA 'Poker Players Alliance') are trying to find new ways to let their voice heard in the public.
From commercials, newspapers, internet, pictures and other media, online poker players will try to let their truth out to the public, hoping to get more supporters due time. When the time of voting again, more will understand that gambling is a free choice and not dangerous as others may think. "The freedom to do whatever we want with our money is our own responsibility, and no one, even the government can tell us what to do with it" is their main slogan.
