Gambling Revenues to help the elderly and train the newbie
It's not a secret that online gambling industry can create a great revenue to the government, which than will use it to its own affairs. The revenue can be measured in billions in quite shirt amount of years, but the government still insists on banning the gambling industry.
It might happen in the near future, although we can't be quite sure when, but it's all depending on the upcoming presidential elections for the year 2009. But until the elections, some members who supports online gambling continue on the fight and try to create new bills.
Lately we reported on the HR5767, and this time, there seems to be a new bill in the making, this new bill which was introduced yesterday by Rep. Jim McDermott, would help the revenue to grow up to $10 Billion and thus will give the government the opportunity to help the elderly (Community) and create new training centers for those who can't afford proper education. "Those sectors in the society needs to evolve and get a proper education" some may say in a general speaking manner, and they are quite right, use money from supposedly "illegal" industry and in exchange help the weak.
The bill that was presented yesterday is supported by a few members from the Democratic Congressional leadership. Reps. George Miller and John B. Larson created the new bill, titled 'HR 6501: The Investing in our Human Resources Act of 2008'. They are the original co-sponsors of the legislation on the new bill.
Of course, like any bill that is being formed, help is needed to help it pass in the house of the committee. You can and should contact your congressional member and ask help to support the new bill H.R. 6501.
